You Scriber is an assisted learning technology site aimed to help children learn to speak and read. It started with my youngest son who was not speaking at the age of 2. Our school district offered assistance through special education providing him with technology-assisted software for speech. This was very helpful but didn’t provide anything for us to work with at home. I worked diligently to create an application that he could use at home. Now that he is 6 he is speaking quite well, however now he is learning to read. This application has proven very handy in helping him to site read.

With You Scriber, children are able to press words and it is read aloud. The words can be pressed as many times as the child needs. As a parent, I am able to visually see which words my child is struggling with.

You Scriber is a unique site because the books can be written by you, the subscriber. My vision is to have a community of subscribers writing books for our youth. Click on You Write for more information.
